The Journey

About Anil

Every methodology has a journey. This is mine.

My journey didn't begin with coaching.

It began with curiosity.

For over 3 decades, I immersed myself in business, leadership and personal development, always searching for a deeper understanding of why people behave the way they do.

One question kept returning.

Why do intelligent, capable people so often create outcomes they never consciously choose?

Why do we repeat the same habits, make the same mistakes and find ourselves returning to familiar patterns, even when we genuinely want something different?

That question became the catalyst for a lifelong journey of learning.

Rather than searching for answers in a single discipline, I explored many. I studied neuroscience, heart-brain coherence, human behaviour, leadership and intentional practice, looking for the common thread that connected them all.

Along the way, I came to a simple but profound realisation.

Each discipline was describing a different part of the same system.

The human system.

That insight changed everything.

Instead of seeing thoughts, emotions, physiology and behaviour as separate subjects, I began to understand how they continuously influence one another to shape the way we think, feel, decide and live.

Over the years, I have continued to refine this understanding through formal study, professional training and personal practice.

My journey has included:

Heart-Brain Coherence through the HeartMath Institute
Neuroscience and neuroplasticity
Dr Joe Dispenza's Intensive and Progressive Workshops
Lynne McTaggart's One-Year Intention Masterclass
Leadership development
Human behaviour
Organisational performance

Beyond formal study, I have always believed that knowledge should be experienced, not simply understood.

Over more than 6,500 hours of meditation, I explored the relationship between attention, awareness and emotional regulation. My interest in etymology deepened my appreciation for how language shapes the way we think, while sacred geometry encouraged me to recognise patterns, structure and interconnectedness in both nature and human behaviour.

These experiences didn't replace science.

They enriched it.

They taught me to ask better questions, observe more carefully and appreciate that meaningful transformation is rarely the result of one technique or one breakthrough moment.

Over time, I realised that people and organisations didn't need another collection of disconnected tools.

They needed a practical framework that brought the best ideas together in a way that was understandable, measurable and applicable in everyday life.

That realisation led to the development of Neural Architectural Calibration™.

Every visible outcome begins with an invisible system.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How did you develop this methodology?

Over 20 years of study across neuroscience, heart-brain coherence, leadership theory, and intentional practice. I integrated insights from diverse fields—from HeartMath® research to strategic thinking frameworks—into a unified methodology. The approach emerged from both formal training and thousands of hours of personal practice and client work.

Do you work with individuals or only organisations?

Both. I work one-on-one with executives and individuals seeking personal transformation, and with leadership teams and organisations implementing cultural change. The methodology scales from individual neural calibration to collective team coherence. Each engagement is customised to specific needs and contexts.

What makes your approach different from other coaches?

I don't focus on mindset alone—I address the physiological patterns that create mindset. Using biometric feedback and heart-brain coherence training, we work at the nervous system level. Transformation becomes measurable through objective data, not just subjective experience. This creates lasting change rather than temporary motivation.

Where are you based and do you work internationally?

I'm based in South Africa and work with clients globally. Individual sessions are conducted virtually via video conferencing. Corporate programmes can be delivered on-site or remotely depending on organisational needs. The methodology translates effectively across cultures and time zones.

How can I start working with you?

Begin with a discovery session where we explore your current challenges and desired outcomes. For individuals, email coherence@anil.co.za to schedule an initial conversation. For corporate enquiries, visit the Corporate Consultation page to request a briefing. All engagements start with understanding your specific context before designing a customised programme.
